IPC / SCE - Adaptation

Through various customer projects, ORISA has gained comprehensive experience with the implementation, adaptation and expansion of the SAP configurator IPC/SCE. Customers profit as well from technological expertise as well as from working directly with the SAP development team.

CDROM Version of IPC/SCE

We offer CD-ROM versions for SCE Swing UI and IPC Web UI. We differentiate between CD-ROM distributable and CD-ROM startable versions:

• CD ROM distribution requires harmonizing and simplifying the whole application, predefinitions and integration into a call environment. In addition to more restrictive measures for customizing the implementation of a database,
• CD-ROM startability requires an alternative to an MSDE application that functions without a time-intensive installation

Naturally, the "ORISA File Database" which is required for the CD-ROM startability can also be used effectively for the CD-ROM distributability.

We have resolved issues with CD-ROM startability in the following aspects:

• SCE Swing UI startable from CD-ROM or hard disk without installation, including Java Runtime, IPC components and "ORISA File Database" for delivery of the product models.
• IPC Web UI startable from CD-ROM or hard disk without installation, including Java Runtime, Java Web Container, IPC components and "ORISA File Database".
    Requirements: Installed web browser (Internet Explorer)
    The solution also functions with the "ORISA Web Framework" as well as other UI developments based on J2EE.


• Integration of web-based applications in calling web applications
• Integration of web-based applications in native applications (VBasic, C++) via COM/ActiveX
