ORISA File Database

The "ORISA File Database" is an SQL-compatible database that is aligned and optimized for IPC access. The data is stored as compressed flat files and formatted as Java binary structures. This technology offers the following advantages:

• Access to data without installation or registration, even directly from CD-ROM
• high memory density since the data is read directly from ZIP compressed files
• efficient data compression and storage so that even large databases (MSSQL) can be easily transferred via CD-ROM
• high read rate since the data is in Java binary format and filed in an optimized structure.

Driver classes are supplied for implementation of the database file in IPC/SCE.
