Budget Planning Investment

The Investment Management Program has been created to generate demand notifications for technical investments and to prepare these demand notifications for fundamental decisions about the technical investments.

The Investment Management Program has been realized as a client/server solution. This way all those involved in this process can be enabled to access the system directly and to organize mainly paper-free processing of all activities.

The demand notifications (also called requests) pass through several processing states (entry, release, evaluation, revision, ...). These states are characterized by set status. In the system it is possible to set the access rights for requests for each individual user. This also applies to the privilege to set status.

The basic procedure of a demand notification is as follows:

1. Demanding dept.
(entry and revision of requests and reports)
2. Investor
(checking, release, forwarding to Procurement, reports)
3. Procurement
(registration, processing, managing of requests, basic data, rights, budget data, reports)
4. Person responsible for themes
(fundamental decision, process requirements to requests, reports)
5. Planning department
(assignment of project managers, technical specifications, feasibility studies)
6. Procurement
(order specifications of offers, forward data to SAP)

To support the decision-making process a rough budget is generated in the system based on demand allocation and according to several classifiers. Based on this rough budget data the system can create reports. After a fundamental decision about a demand notification has been made it becomes the actual investment request, the data of which is transferred to the SAP system. This interface is only realized in a later phase of the project.
