ORISA Software GmbH has fundamentally redesigned the existing online configurator for Porsche Design timepieces, both technically and visually, combining technological precision with a luxurious brand experience. The relaunch, which was implemented in close collaboration with the agency muse case and MHP, not only features a new, accessible user interface, but also integrates in-depth CPQ functionalities. These enable customers to enjoy a tailor-made, digital product experience in a quality that lives up to the Porsche Design brand.

The aim was to create a consistent and brand-compliant user experience that is based on the design and functionality of Porsche’s vehicle configurator, which was also co-designed by ORISA, while at the same time meeting digital accessibility requirements. The result is a configurator that not only looks good, but is also fully ADA and WCAG compliant for the first time.

Technologically, the configurator is based on ORISA’s powerful CPQ software, which enables both complex product logic and the integration of visual real-time renderings in this application. A particular focus is on performance and stability – with success: despite the ambitious schedule, the CPQ reflects the high system quality and reliability that meets the premium standards of the product.

An integral part of the redesign is the connection to the CREALIS® Web PDM system. ORISA is responsible for technical integration and ensures that the configured variants can be seamlessly transferred to the manufacturing process. The system is complemented by dynamic image generation. For certain models, 3D models from ORISA’s own portfolio continue to be used. A solution that offers maximum flexibility while maintaining consistent visualisation quality.

With its revamped configurator, ORISA once again demonstrates how intelligent CPQ technology can be combined with emotional brand management and visual excellence in highly individualised luxury segments. The solution not only makes buying a watch a digital and intuitive experience, but also meets the highest technical, design and regulatory standards.

Our anniversary on September 26 was the highlight of the year for us: a celebration that brought together our employees, customers, and partners. Next-Level Innovation: CPQ, SAP and a Touch of a Magic

2024 was also a year full of technical milestones for us! The KMAT coupling of our CREALIS® CPQ solution with SAP S/4HANA via VCP is particularly noteworthy. This enables companies to speed up sales processes and make their product configurations even more efficient — a real game changer for our customers.

Our CREALIS® test tool also generated a lot of enthusiasm: With its ability to automate tests for complex rule sets, we ensure stability and quality even before problems arise. This is an important step in helping our customers boost efficiency.

We also shared our knowledge in webinars and at the CPQ Day in Jena, where exciting discussions on CPQ trends and SAP integrations were on the agenda. Strong together: health, team spirit and responsibility

But success needs more than technology — it requires healthy and engaged people. The fact that ORISA focuses on people was demonstrated in many ways in 2024: for example, our Health Month in March provided valuable impetus for physical and mental well-being in the workplace and this commitment was crowned with the “Thuringian Seal for Healthy Work” in gold.
Speaking of fitness: we once again gave our all at the 13th Jena company run — not only on the course, but also for a good cause. And because we also love slightly more unusual challenges, we took part in this year’s dragon boat sprint. Spoiler: We may not have had fast fins, but we had a lot of fun!

But we were not only active in sports: as the founder of the Jena Prize for Civil Courage, we set an important example for social commitment this year. Because in these challenging times, it is all the more important to promote civil courage and solidarity.
The year was rounded off with the Long Night of Science, where we brought science and technology to life for everyone. Between microscopes, technical experiments and visions of the future, we showed that even complex topics such as product configuration can be accessible and exciting — and discovered our “superpowers” in the process.

We are proud to announce that we have successfully achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, one of the world’s leading standards for information security management systems (ISMS). At a time when cybercrime, cloud solutions and the protection of sensitive data are among the biggest challenges for companies, ORISA has responded proactively and is sending a strong signal of security and trust with this certification.

What does ISO/IEC 27001:2022 mean?

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the latest version of this renowned standard and describes the requirements for establishing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive information security management system. The aim of the standard is to systematically identify and assess information security risks and adress them using suitable measures. TÜV Thüringen’s certification demonstrates that ORISA has consistently integrated information security into all areas of the company — from IT infrastructure and data protection to security mechanisms for physical and digital access.

With increasing digitalization and the shift of many business processes to the cloud, the risks are also increasing. Cybercrime, data breaches and the misuse of sensitive information pose immense challenges for companies. The ISO/IEC 27001 certification shows that ORISA is prepared for these new requirements. Not only do we demonstrate sophisticated risk management, stringent data protection requirements and security controls to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of information, but we also emphasize the continuous improvement and adaptation of strategies to avert threats. The implementation of a comprehensive ISMS as defined in our quality policy ensures that not only our own data, but above all our customers’ confidential information is optimally protected. The ISO/IEC 27001 certification strengthens the confidence of our partners and customers that ORISA applies state-of-the-art security standards and takes information security seriously to ensure the foundation for successful cooperation.

In addition to ISO/IEC 27001 certification, ORISA has held the TISAX label since 2017 and successfully passed the requirements as part of the 2024 re-audit. The TISAX label is of great importance to us, especially due to our cooperation with customers from the automotive industry such as Porsche, where providing proof of a high standard of information security is essential. By meeting the TISAX requirements, we can strengthen the trust of our customers and ensure that their sensitive data is optimally protected.

On October 16, 2024, the time had come: ORISA was awarded the “Thuringian Seal for Healthy Work” in gold as part of the double conference at Ernst Abbe Hochschule in Jena. This special award recognizes companies and institutions that have demonstrated exemplary commitment to the health and well-being of their employees.

The award ceremony took place during the “Healthy Work Day”, an event organized by the “Healthy Work in Thuringia” network. Around one hundred guests from business, science and politics came together to discuss current developments in the areas of occupational health management (OHM) and digital transformation.
