We have exciting news: ORISA Software GmbH has acquired calcIT Solutions GmbH, based in Stutensee near Karlsruhe, from the abilis group.
By joining forces, we are further expanding our portfolio in the areas of product configuration and Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions. This decision represents growth, trust, and a shared vision for the future. By combining experience, perspectives, and ideas, we are creating the foundation for the next stage of our company’s development. For us, this acquisition marks a significant milestone and the beginning of a new chapter in ORISA’s history.
Why this step matters
For more than 30 years, ORISA has stood for powerful configuration solutions and end-to-end CPQ processes. During this time, market requirements have evolved considerably. Products have become more complex, the number of variants has increased, supply chains have become more dynamic, and pricing pressure is a constant challenge across many industries. At the same time, customers expect fast, reliable quotations and transparent business processes. With our software solutions, we help manufacturers make complex products digitally configurable and automate quotation generation, whether on-premises or in the cloud, including within SAP environments.
calcIT Solutions GmbH brings extensive expertise in industrial costing and pricing. The company serves customers including KUKA, IWK, and the Schuler Group. Its proprietary software solution was developed in close collaboration with manufacturing companies and enables transparent, flexible, and reliable cost calculations. From traditional manufacturing cost calculations to target costing and top-down approaches, calcIT supports complex costing methodologies while integrating seamlessly into existing system landscapes. The combination of our two companies opens up an exciting new perspective: configuration and costing can now work hand in hand more closely than ever before.
For ORISA, this creates an opportunity to take a more holistic approach to digital business processes and support a truly end-to-end workflow, from the initial product idea and configuration through to accurate costing, pricing, and quotation generation.
At the same time, preserving the strengths of both companies was a key priority. calcIT will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary. The team in Stutensee will remain responsible for the development and support of the solution, contributing its expertise and industry knowledge as before. At the same time, new opportunities will emerge for collaboration, integration, and joint innovation.
