Last week, our motto was clear: “Full Power for STEM!”
As a sponsor of the 4th MINT Festival Jena, we had the opportunity to spend a day on the campus of Friedrich Schiller University at Ernst-Abbe-Platz, showcasing just how diverse, innovative, and creative the world of IT can be.
Throughout the festival, held from September 16 to 18, around 2,000 students from across Thuringia, as well as Bavaria, Hesse, and Saxony, visited the event each day to experience mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology firsthand. More than 40 organizations participated, offering lectures, workshops, over 30 exhibition booths, and numerous live demonstrations. And of course, our software superhero ORISA was there once again!
Two Booths, Countless Software Heroes
This year, ORISA Software was represented with two booths:
Software Hero Configurator
At our Software Hero Configurator in the atrium, children and teenagers were once again able to create their very own Software Hero and take home a personalized collectible card.
This year, we also introduced an exciting new activity:The Hunt for Bugman.
Our team developed a quiz featuring challenging questions about software development and IT. Participants who answered all questions correctly not only helped ORISA, our software superhero, capture the notorious Bugman, but also earned an exclusive Bugman sticker for their collectible card. The lovingly designed comic scenes for this activity were created especially by our wonderfully creative colleague, Caro.
Career Orientation Booth
At the same time, we were available to answer questions about our apprenticeship programs, dual-study opportunities, and various career paths at ORISA Software. The many inspiring conversations we had throughout the event made one thing clear: the next generation is passionate about technology.
Our Conclusion
The MINT Festival Jena 2025 once again demonstrated how important and inspiring it is to spark young people’s enthusiasm for technology and the natural sciences.
We would like to thank the organizing team and all visitors for several energetic days filled with curiosity, creativity, and meaningful exchange.
We are already looking forward to the next MINT Festival, which is expected to take place in September 2027, and we cannot wait to discover the next generation of Software Heroes we will meet there.
